Default Brake Pads

It is good advice to remove the fluid before compressing the caliper pistons as the fluid will overflow the master cylinder especially since you are doing all four corners. It is also a good time to lube the slider pins on the caliper brackets, as if there are a lot of miles on the car its prudent to make sure they still slide. The bolts that hold them in can be replaced with new, or cleaned and use loctite on them. The little rubber seals that are suppose to keep water and dirt out dont always do their job. Not to much lube, a small amount of hi-temp lube will do. Clean any crud off and coat the whole pin. Ive seen these things stick to the point where only one pad is doing the work and wears out fast because the other side wont slide over to make contact. Also a good time to spend a few more bucks and switch to stainless braided brake hoses. (dont forget the new sealing washers) Bleed the whole system and you will love the results. Becareful not to let the resivour go dry when you bleed as it may mess up the ABS, then you gotta go to a dealer to do a purge. I think there is a tech tip on here with all the steps. Have fun.
