Polished Aluminum wheels question.
I have the polished C5 wheels and want to know about proper cleaning.
Wax or aluminum polish?
I thought I read somewhere a coating is applied to them, is this true?

Yup... The originals are clearcoated. with a high temp version of what goes on the paint...
Wash then when cool with car wash soap. IF they have some brake dust gently remove it with a commercial wheel cleaner that is safe on clearcoated wheels.
Personally I use a dilute solution Simple Green. ( 1 part SG to 3 parts water) spray it on what 2 minutes ( don't let it dry) rub gently with a wheel brush. rinse generously, dry and then treat with a paint sealant.
They last longer than wax.
There are many of them.. Meguiars NXT, Mothers Reflections, heck there is even NuFinish... (which for wheels ain't bad)
I use Rejex on my paint. I also use it on my wheels and exhaust tips and SS insets and chrome bling....
