My alternator bearing was starting to sing...
Filed a claim with Warranty Direct and got a new GM alternator installed before it left me stranded...and I didn't have to take it to the dealer...
My guy submitted a claim, got an authorization, ordered the part, called me when it came in, installed and was paid on the spot via corporate credit card. No hassle no out of the pocket expenses. Of course before I do anything I do plenty of research...

I bought a warrenty recently and canciled it when the policy came with the fine print. Most will refund the down stroke if you cancil within thirty days. They required documentation for all maintenance and ofcoarse, no racing.
