Default Hole in header

I just had the piece of the driverside header where the air pump tube hook to it just completely broke off. I dunno how this happened, so now I have a hole the size of a quarter. Has anyone ever had this happen to them. Never heard of the piece just breaking off. I have LG longtubes. I cant remember if the driverside comes out on the top or the bottom? I installed them last yr and cant remember.

Maybe you could use something to weld up the hole. Not sure what you could do. Maybe talk to LG about the warranty or something. Sometimes I've had to rig the car up because of using after market products. They never tell you about these things.

I plan on welding a piece of metal over it, but I just wanted to know if this has happened before to anyone. Seems kinda crazy.

I have seen it happen a a few different sets of LG headers..
But to be fair, I've seen it on other sets as well..

I definately dont think its ONLY on LG headers. I honestly think it happens to any header that has that air fitting welded on.
There was a member about a 3 weeks ago that was asking about the exact same thing on a Kooks header.
I'm pretty sure that got resolved as well.

On our early sets we did have this issue pop up but mostly when the air tubes were left without the air tube installed.
When the air tube is not connected the tube on the header vibrates and work hardens and it will break.

We have since had Borla reinforce this tube on the headers and since then we have not had any further air tube problems.

We will be glad to fix your headers at no charge if you want to ship them here to LG Motorsports at your expens. We will repair them and ship them back at our expense and we will pay for the return shipping.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
Lou GIgliotti LGM

Had this happen to mine. Like Lou said, mine did not have the tube installed as I have removed the AIR system. Had a local shop just reweld it back as well as add a small pice of steel as a brace to reinforce it. No problems since.
