I have a Yank SS3600 and an B&M 24000 external tranny cooler. Haven't seen mine above 162 and that was cruising at 75mph with the outside temp at 85.

With a stock TC and no add-on cooler I'm usually in the 174 - 180 range, even on hot days. If I run the car hard I see it go up to 190 or so but never any higher. BTW, I have an '04 A4.

just added a 160 t-stat and a 24000 gvw cooler today and my trans temps never went over 185 in about 2 hours of stop and go crusing around messing with shift points. it was in the mid 80's here today, so i think i am happy with the results. before in stop and go traffic it was getting around 210-215.

I just had a tranny cooler put on today by OC Corvette. Now my temperatures are consistantly at 158-162. Before the cooler it would get up to 232 when driving hard in the twisties in 2nd and 3rd and 198 in normal freeway driving.
