Common Problems - Need Input Please
2000 Corvette coupe purchased on August 1999, sequence #415, currently has 18,000 miles.
My 2000 warranty is now 2/3 spent. I’ve had all of the common problems (known to me) that a C5 can have, and the car has spent a lot of time with Chevrolet Service Departments. Before the warranty expires, I need to know if there are any other common problems I have missed. The car is a Z51 A4 with all options (that can be had on a Z51 A4).
I consider all the problems below a result of poor engineering or assembly, not wear and tear.
Could you please list any other known problems not listed here? Thanks in advance.
- Fuel quantity goes to zero with ¼ tank of gas remaining. Bunch of stuff changed.
- Pulsing Brakes. All four warped rotors replaced.
- Glove Compartment light stays on. Glove Compartment door changed.
- Driver’s door window rattles. Regulator was changed.
- Right Turn Signal cancels cruise control. Multifunction lever changed.
- Weather stripping above driver’s window chaffed and torn under the blowout tab.
- Right seal on the differential leaking.
- Clogged A/C evaporator drain, with resultant wet carpet and BCM, causing everything under the sun to display in the DIC, etc.
