radical cam suggestions
Hello:
I am in the process of *refreshing* my 99 MN6 - currently it has a 427LS1. I had an unfortunate event a little while ago while going for a top end run blast and while explaining the symptoms the tuner said it sounds like a spun bearing.... I dont have any tapping or knocking so he said it may not be all that bad. But worst case, it would be more cost effective to go with a new LS2 block, etc..
anyway: if my block turns out still ok I want to upgrade the heads and cam. The motor was done over 4yrs ago and supposedly the technology out there now is just insane. - I've been out of it since then and wondering what is a "hot" cam/head setup? This isnt a daily driver so I dont mind some driveability issues. I love a lopey idle.
any recommendations?
