No. Just be careful not to damage the plug wires (bend, kink or leave wire leaning on header).
To make this easier for me, I take the plug socket and it has that handy hex setup on the end, get the socket (I believe it is a 3/4) and hand tighten the plug socket in and then take your socket wrench with that 3/4 socket and tighten it like that, this gives you a bit more extension and helps out a great deal...at least I do this every plug change and it takes me less than 30 minutes to do it.

try it with a short piece or rubber hose instead of the socket. You can move it around a lot more and its easier to hold onto, plus you can't cross thread it by accident. It works like charm. I used to do the plug socket thing until an old friend showed me the rubber hose trick.
Easiest way for me to get wires off plug ends is to get loooong pair of needle nosed pliers and grab edge of metal plug boot protector and pull on that.
