Default Shock suggestions plz

I have Bilsteins at the moment but have about 60k on them so time for replacements. Should I go with Z06 shocks or get another set of Bilsteins.

Anyone know any of the forum vendors offering great price on these?

Your Bilstiens have a warr. if you feel there is something wrong with them send them in for a rebuild or revalve . I think its 35 bucks a shock

I just put the 06Z06 shocks on mine 2 days ago and it made a huge difference. The shocks are about twice the diamater of the stock C5shocks. After I got the method figured out, it was pretty easy to do. I did the Z06 sways last year and that too made a big difference.

Fred Beans said the C6 Z06 shocks will fit a C5.......but that the Sway bars from the C6 Z06 will not fit.......didn't say why, but I am guess because the car is a bit wider.

I disagree. I was sent C6Z06 sway bars by mistake. I put them on without any problems on my 2001. I decided to keep them

I think it depends on your mufflers. I understand there is a problem with clearance with some of them.

What exhaust system are you running? I want to use the springs, shocks and sways from a Z06 and I am getting mixed info on whether any of these will fit my 98 coupe.
Any help would be appreciated
