Computer programming that keeps the torque output of the engine within the design limits of other drivetrain components such as clutches and transmissions.
It is often removed by reprogramming with no immediate ill effects with a stock motor. Once you start increasing the power output then you are likely to have problems although some have been able to get by for quite awhile without problems requiring various components to be beefed up.

Disabling it you will get more of a SOTP improvement and be able to leave rubber off the line (my stock A4 was lacking that ability). It is well worth the the price of a hande held programer to turn it off and add performance tune to your car.

well i dont have problems leaving rubber off the line. The car has 560 rwhp and 480 rwt. cartek has done all the work on the car and now i droped it off for a roll cage and dave said that he is going to reprogram the T.M. and i just want to know everything about it.
