I picked up a HPIII today and when I tried it on my '99 it told me that it couldn't find any program and suggested I call Hypertech. It's a long time until Monday and I really want to know what's going on.
Anyone care to try to answer this for me?
It was new and it came up and fuctioned as shown in the manual up to the message that it couldn't find any calibration data.
My dealer reflashed the PCM the last time it was in for sevice and I wonder if that had any thing to do with it.
Your dealer reflashing the PCM will have nothing to do with utilizing the Hypertech unit itself. You just may of received a defective unit so I think that you will just need to contact them Monday for they will problaby send you out a new unit... I don't blame you though for I hate waiting for sometime like that myself...:( Good luck!

I thought I might post an update on my Hypertech PP III.
I got ahold of HyperTech today and the fellow I talked to wanted to know if I had the PCM updated recently. I told him that the dealer had flashed a couple of weeks ago and he immediately told me to send it back to him. I asked if the new program had broke the program in the and he said that was about the size of it.
It should be back in a few days and we'll see if it works this time. I wonder if this happens every time Chevy upgrades the program in the PCM.
