I have a thread in the C5 Parts section that says "Bullets too loud? Sell 'em to me!" hehe, so if you're considering selling the exhaust, please Let me know!!!
Also, i've read that the partitions you can buy (search this forum theres good stuff on them) will really only stop the mid to high pitch sounds, where the low frequency (droning) will still seep through and there is nothing you can really do about the droning except a different muffler setup... Just what i've read thus far...

Should hear my 15763 Magnaflow if Bullets are too loud
The partition wouldn't help much. Maybe a bit of reduction but it's not going to be anything significant.
