Is it true what they claim, adds 18 hp to the rear wheels or just
hot air?
I have the bullets and the Blackwing, and they also claim 18 hp
to the rear wheels.Does this means that i increased 36 hp to my
rear wheels, where does that puts me in hp totals?

Are you looking to buy a set? I have a "like new" set with maybe 10,000 miles on them for sale. I really liked them, but I went to a large displacement engine and wanted larger (1-7/8 tubes) diameter head pipes than the 1-3/4 the BB's come with. I picked up maybe 2 tenths at the track with them. What was most surprising to me was the low R.P.M. scavenging they did compared to the manifolds!! I picked up 2-3 m.p.g. on the D.I.C. as compared to stock. I got them at Lingenfelters for around $750.00 I will sell them for $450.00 shipped to your door.

I believe that the marketers for these products take the increase a bit out of context. Notice they usually say "up to xxHP"? I suspect an after-market exhaust will in fact get you close to an 18 HP increase, when used in conjunction with an air filter kit, and vice versa. So, they're really not lying..... completely.

it means that under their testing conditions, the max rwhp they have obtained is "x" amount. So basically, it would be possible to hit their gains, but very unlikely.

I am sorry for being more of a sales guy than answering your question! I agree with these guys: IF you have a number of other bolt-ons, and IF you have a l160 degree thermostat and a GOOD cat-back exhaust, and IF you have a hand held tune or better in the PCM, and IF you have upgraded the intake manifold to at least a Z-06, and IF you have a good induction like a Blackwing or Vararam, etc., you will PROBABLY see around 20- 25 H.P at the crank, or 10- 15 at the rear wheels. In other words, if you have up-graded a number of other components and still have the factory exhaust manifolds in place, which are very good, by the way (On the C5, not necessarily the F- bodies!), your exhaust may be a bottleneck. Hope this helps, and it is just my .02!! Good Luck, and let me know if you are interested in my offer. I feel it is a very fair offer, as I am sure other members will agree
