Took the Zo6 to RPM in lewisville TX on 04/11 to get a full dyno tune. Car made 417rwhp UNTUNED then with some minor changes we got 424rwhp. It dynoes 424,423,420,420 so I thought that was going to be it for me but Brian kept at it, and we got 427rwhp. But Brian kept at it some more and we finally made 433.4 and then 433.9rwhp. I would have been happy making only 430rwhp so the extra couple is even better. The car made 433.9rwhp and 384rwtq after several dyno runs, i wonder if i would actually make more on a cool motor.
Mods are
01 Zo6 vette with 20K miles, untouched heads.
Kooks long tube headers
Off road X pipe (no cats)
Halltech TRAP intake
MS3 cam (237/242 .603/.609 113lsa)
RPM tune done by Brian
This is all without the benefits of a larger TB, or a pulley.
Waiting on "Nevertoofast (tom)" to post up my dyno sheet i faxed him.
Car is a blast to drive. Idles right at 950RPM without stalling even on cold starts.
Only problem now is i have so much power that its easy to hit 100mph just nailing it to get on the highway.
Car does buck a little if i try to cruise (no throttle) in 6th gear below 1500RPM's.
Nice! The ~500HP cam + LT cars are really awesome - that's some pretty serious bang-for-the-buck performance, plus a nice stout cam and LT's has a great "sound factor"
Great results - oh and look at that, you know your cam specs! (heheh, J/k from that other thread which by the way, I totally agree with you)
