Tried to use the A/C for the first time this year since it's been on the road and it is spewing out outside temperature air. What could the cause of the air conditioning failure be?
Nikolai, I have the dual electronic unit. On mine it is the second botton from the left marked A/C with a snowflake on it. In the center of the snowflake is a green diode that normally is lit when the A/C is on....
IF it flashes the R134a is low.. IF it is not on it is usually an electical issue... try the fuse first

Thanks,

Before you recharge...check to see that the A/C belt is doing its job. Is the compressor pulley turning properly? Can you hear the A/C clutch engage/disengage as it cycles? Is the A/C condensor fowled with trash?
I will try to do many repairs to my C5, but messing with the innards of the A/C system is one I leave for the dealer, or other competent tech.
