I just installed 285/35/18 Pilot Sports on 18x10 CCW Classics up front. I'm lowered 1.25" plus. The outer leading edge of the tires are rubbing on the front inner fender liners quite badly. The tires are almost touching the liners at 70% turn in. Have any of you ran this setup and if so what were your experiences? John from CCW had told me this setup shouldn't rub.
Also with the 335/30/18 on 11.5x18 rear, what is the best compromise pressure to run front and back? Taking into account the bowing of the rear tire on the 11.5. I'd like the best street/track setting possible with my Z06 suspension. I'd appreciate any help I can get.
You need to run a 285/30-18 on the front. Thats what I have with a lowered z51 with no rubbing. The 35 is to tall and will rub the fenderwell just next to the brake cooling duct. When I had my 305/30's I cut a hole in the plastic and fiberglased in a notch/pocket for tire clearince. It worked but with the 30 series it won't rub period. I can take some pix if you want.

Just a FYI 285/30/18 Michelin Pilot sports aren't made anymore. They are now Michelin Pilot Sport "Rib" tires (o.e. Porche) that don't match tread design wise the 335/30/18's most people are running on the "big street package" (18x10 and 18x11.5) CCW classic wheels. I guess a person could still run them as fronts but like I said the tread designs won't match.
I'm running 285/35/18s in the front on my stock bolt lowered coupe and have no rubbing issues at all. I have Nitto 555 RII tires on there mounted on CCW SP500s. Different tires have different footprints and shapes so I don't know if the problem might be the pilot sports themselves or possibly the tires combined with the particular offset on the CCW classics you have.
