Default Window adjustment

I replaced my driver and passenger window motor/regulator setup this weekend. I adjusted the windows so they fit properly. (by the way I've been delaying this project for about a year, and I'm amazed that it was really pretty simple)

My question is how tight should the window fit against the weatherstrip? (They were not fitting well at all before the motors, lots of air and water leakage)

I have it adjusted, and the weatherstrip is not bulging out. The door closes fine. No air leakage. I would assume all is well...but thought I'd find out if there are any problems that could arise if it's too tight against the weather strip.

Sure would like to know how you pulled the door a part?

It's actually pretty easy. I used the instructions from Vette Essentials.

http://www.vetteessentials.com/instr...or_handle.html

I did have one of the brackets on the door panel (which holds one of fastener pins) break off. I jb weld the piece back on, and let it set for a day. All is good now.

I was trying to adjust my drivers side window yesterday for the same reason(leaks). I'm not sure what I did wrong, but while gently shutting the door by pushing on the window with and open palm, my window shattered before the door shut. I was all kinds of #*$&@! off. I think I'm gonna let the dealership adjust the new one.
