Default I hear a clunking when I turn!

I hear a clunking or poping noise from the front end when I turn my wheel all the way to the right or left. This only seems to happen when I am sitting still or barely moving! I have an 01 with 54K miles all stock wheels and tires. Is this normal?

No it's not normal.

Check your sway bar bushings and end links. If you have the plastic end links "2001" you might want to upgrade to metal links for around $80 and an hours labor.

you can upgrade yourself. I would skip the regular metal end links and instead get the adjustable endlinks. while you are there you might want to think about Z06 sways too...

Lots of chatter on this subject lately. I too have a post started on this. Maybe once we all get it fixed and find a common problem, we can have a sticky to point people to.

The first one to get it fixed and stopped, please post exactly what you did to fix your problem and if you found any thing broken or wrong or was it just trial and error.

Got same problem; and I already had swaped out OEM sway bars for Z06 performance sway bars with alum end links. Several yrs ago. Really noticed the improvement in performance but noise problem started about six months ago. I've read on this forum that the bushings needed to be lubricated and tightened. Haven't tried either, yet.
