C6 Shifter Install Question - Neutral Pin
This may be a dumb question, but here goes. I am installing a C6 Z06 shifter in my C5. I purchased the entire assembly from Fred Beans and I am following the intructions here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...1&page=1&pp=20.
I am at the point where I am ready to bolt down the base and arm, but I can't get the neutral pin out. After I bolt it down, do I simply pull the pin upwards with a pliers or screw driver? I've tried to do both but it will not come up. I just want to make sure I am doing this right and don't want to break anything.
Thanks.
the pin has a 90 degree bend in it pointing aft in car. it follows
the slot. pull it up to the top of the slot. friction should hold it in
place. there's no reason to remove it.

but it shouldn't be that hard to pull straight up.
