I can't believe my luck this year - Pnemonia, pleuresy, heart catheter, now my Bullet broke.
The bracket they have welded on must have snapped off - I didn't even hear/notice it till I was wiping off the car after work today. Here we go again with warrantees. I got my 04 C5 from a Chevy dealership, you know "certified" and all that. The Bullets were already on the car (part of the reason I bought it, it sounded awsome).
I emailed BillyBoat, but I'm sure they can't help. The dealer won't budge since they are aftermarket - the best they could possibly do is replace them with stock - no way!!!!! I don't think a muffler shop could weld a piece on and match the dimensions so both sides hang equally.
Bullets come in 2 pieces - front half from behind the cats, over the wheel and down. The back half from that point and out (with the tips). I wonder if B&B would sell just the 2nd half??
well I guess my luck ain't so bad afterall. Found a guy in a muffler shop, he welded a piece on in 2 minutes and didnt even want money for it. I gave him a $20 and was very very satisfied.
B&B is good with warrenty work. I sent mine back to them and they rewelded hangers on them and polished all the pipes. I just paid the shipping to get it to them.
same thing happened to mine. i just went to the local muffler shop and had them weld on a new bracket. total=20$
Same here, only it was the hanger bracket that bolts to the car, not the bracket on the bullet it`s self. In either case, you can have your local muffler shop weld a new bracket for around $20.00 as Raped-Ape mentioned.
