I have a 2000 that is need of a new top and have couple of questions :
Where is the best place and cost to purchase ??
How hard is it to replace it yourself ??

I just had the top replaced on my vert. After doing some research it looked like the Robbins was the way to go. I went with the upgraded fabric and their website has a list of installers.
Of all the how-to's available on this and other vette forums, the best top replacement how-to was "How-to take it to someone that knows what they are doing." Almost everyone agrees that this is not something to do yourself.

99 convert top
I have a 99 & thinking of a new Top also -- $500. seemes average price that i have seen -- but NO one mentions Who will install it & for what price !!! anyone have Top installers & price info ???
NW ILL is scarce in installers ??? How about other states close ?!?!?

I replaced mine recently on my 2000 vert. I bought the double twill which I believe is a Robbins and the top looks fantastic-way better than the OEM. I have received a lot of compliments on it from other vette owners.
I bought mine brand new off the forum. It took a few weeks but another membe had one still in a box so I think it is worth the effort especially since I paid only $250 for it.
I had a local top and upholstery shop replace it. Again they did an outstanding job and I paid them $250.
This is not an easy job to do-I watched them replace it and there is no way I would attempt to do this particular job.
