steering response
On my 2001 coupe which had front end damage - frame was straightened by a good shop - I notice that if I'm driving straight and I want to make the car swerve, (say for instance swerve quickly like to avoid a pothole or object in the road), that when I swerve by quickly turning the steering wheel not quite 1/4 turn to the left, that the response is instantaneous; however, when I attempt the same swerving manuver by turning the steering wheel suddenly/quickly to the right, the response is a little slower and less immediate.
Is this the way the C5's came from factory, and/or is this caused by the direction the power steering pump is rotating and putting fluid into the steering system, OR is it an alignment issue, OR is it something else.
I noticed this problem both when I had the stock suspension and it is still present after I installed a 2004 ZO6 suspension. Any thoughts on what to look for or have checked? Or is this normal?
Thanks, Bill.
