Default Am I Crazy?

I need your opinion, I have a 1998 coupe with 79,000 miles on the clock. The car runs great and looks good. The car is all stock at the moment and I am about to have a local corvette shop install long tube headers with a Corsa Touring exhaust. I am also having a full tune up as well as a dyno tune. The total cost is going to run a couple thousand. My question is am I crazy to begin the mod process now on a car that has this many miles? Or are these engines as good as I hear they are and I should not worry and go for it.
Thanks for your opinions.

with those mods your car life expectancy will drop because you will be driving it so often.

Honestly your mods listed will only help your car breath better which is always a good thing.

you might want to add an after market air intake too.

Your engine is barely broken in,, I know many people putting heads and cams into their 100,000 + mile car... headers and touring exhaust are hardly hard core mods. Tuning the car is considered maintenance.
I wouldn't worry about anything at this point...There is little chance of any negative repercussions with this stuff... you will enjoy the car much more though///

Thanks guys,
I am going to go ahead and get the work done. I will look into the air intake, I like the looks of the haltec stinger.
