I want to replace the foam on the seat bottom of my 99 standard seats. Has anyone done this and if so, where can i purchase the foam and how hard of a job is it to remove the old one.

About $40 from chevy. How hard depends on if you have ever done any work with upholsery. You will need some hog rings and Hog ring pliers. the hardest part may be getting off the handle on the side (back release) other than that it's pretty much just wrestling it in and out. Put some heavy cloth on top of the wires so the don't cut up the new foam.
best place to buy the foam is from gene culley at fred beans, a supporting forum vendor.,.... gculley@fredbeans.com
as mentioned above the seat back lever is tough , you need a long thin needle to disengage the horseshoe clip. the seat has to come out..you can use the old hog rings and you will need two pair of needle nose pliers./
