Default C5 stainless brake line question

Hello,

fOr all you guys running stainless brake lines, did you tie them off to any suspension components, or did you just let them hang like the stock lines?

I put in Mallett (Goodridge) lines which are a tick longer than stock- just wondering if I need to give them any special treatment.

Thanks!

When you install them you can tighten them with a little twist to keep them from rubbing other parts but No, do not tie them down. If it needs the full range of motion the tie could damage the lines and cause brake failure. If it still rubs, you can get clear plastic spiral wrap at home depot to cover the lines with, to protect the surrounding components. You can find it in the electrical dept. for covering wires.

I just "pre-loaded" them by putting them in the exact position I wanted and held the line while I tightened down the banjo fitting bolt on the caliper end. Worked fine.

Thanks guys!

I pu thtem how I wanted them- I just wanted to be sure as the Mallett's are a touch longer than stock. The stock rear line is taut under full suspension sag!
