Default Questions about modding a z06

Is the air bridge in the z06 any different than the air bridge from a regular c5? I was looking at the high flow bridges on westcoastcorvette.com and was wondering if it was worth it.
From what ive read, the vararam and longtubes headers seem to be the best bang for the buck mods. Is the high flow bridge and bellows worth it?

Also, what clutch do most people get for a daily driver z06 with drag strip use maybe 5-10 times a year. Something for a mildly modded car?

Any other advice on beginner mods besides the vararam, lt headers, borla stingers, air bridge and bellows?

Ive modded ls1s before and now an ls2 with my camaro so I know what to do with the motor and suspension on those cars but Im new to the vette scene. Do you guys have to mod the suspension or rear end of these cars?

Thanks for any help!

The air bridges are the same. With stock heads/cam you won't gain much with the larger bridges. You could replace the bellows coupler with a smooth silicone coupler and maybe gain a little, and have the TB ported.

The Vararam makes good power but has had some quality issues. Some of the guys here love it. I would take a look at the Callaway Honker CAI. Well engineered and excellent quality but a little pricey. The Honker set-up replaces the stock air bridge and moves the MAFS up to the TB.

A good CAI, LTs and a good tune, probably the best hp/$$ mod.

Hope this helps. Mod on.
