Another AC Problem

I have the dual zone auto unit. When I press the A/C button, it flashes several times, but doesn't come on. What gives? Will recharging the freon cure this, or do a need to look elsewhere? Thanks.

According to the manual... falshing green diode means low R134A charge.
You could try to top up yourself...
But the key question is why is it low?

Ah...thanks. I had it refilled last summer before I deployed to Iraq, but then the car sat for 10 months without being run. Either they didn't do it properly the first time, or it has a leak. I just brought the car back from Jamison's in Charleston (Kerry's a super guy, btw), and he found that the vacuum line at the back of the intake manifold had come loose. He also said that the high pressure side showed low charge of the refrigerant. I hope that another charge will take care of things.
