Default Brake Pulsation

Just bought a 99 FRC....

When going 60+ mph and braking there is a pulsation on the right side of the car. Looking through threads on here, the most common solution is just to replace the rotors. I would do that except i just called up the previous owner of the car and he said that the front rotors and pads are all BRAND NEW! Could a strong pulstation like this be coming from the original back rotors? Should i change the front anyway or maybe just get them milled/resurfaced? or should i just throw 4 new rotors on there?

Thanks again

Had a similar problem on my 04. New fronts and they milled the backs and it's normal.

I'd have the backs done first then the fronts if its still there.

Could be the backs.

Could be whoever put the new fronts on didn't clean the hub and you've got significant runout.

Could be uneven pad material buildup depending on braking usage.

It really kind of depends how bad it is, which is hard to describe. Is it just some pulsing in the pedal or does it feel like the front of the car is wiggling back and forth?

I would try re-bedding the pads. Follow the directions on one of the Brake sites.

As said above if the peddle is puslating yet no ABS message then also look through your codes. Sometimes brake sensor code and steering codes will mess with the ABS control.

My steering wheel was turned 180degrees of when i haad the last engine mod and it did this every time i would stop at speed. I would reset the DIC and it would take about 10 min of driving and do it all over again. Solution i took it back and had them turn the steering wheel and reattach it to the rack.

But otherwise that the rotor may be warped.
