Default Quick question about a mod...Need experts' advice

I just bought a "preowned" WCC High Flow Power Coupler from a forum member. Now I know some people here have said that this is a :bs mod and maybe it is, but it looks cool (RED) and the price was right. :D

My question is this...On the stock "accordian" coupler there is a very small vacuum line that runs into the side of it. There is no hole in the new coupler for this line. Do I need to drill a small hole to insert this line into the new coupler? What is this line for? What does it do?

Thanks,
Dave

One more quick question, then I'll stop, I promise (at least for a little while).

When I bought my coupler, I got a throttle body bypass tube thrown in for free (great price :D) My question is, where the heck does it go? I know what the throttle body is  , but where exactly does the bypass fit into the scheme of things??

Thanks again,
D.T.D.

GM designed your throttle body with coolant running through it. The idea is it will keep it from sticking in cold weather. This also heats your intake charge and takes HP. If you look closely at the TB you will see tubes that run into the side of it. I think they are the only thing that runs to your TB besides wires the bypass installs between these two hoses.

Yeah, I saw one hose running into the lower portion of the TB from the radiator and one running to the upper part of the TB from under the passenger side fuel rail.

I unhooked both of these lines and connected them with the TB bypass.

When I started the engine, coolant started SPRAYING out of the TB.

Boy do I feel like a dumbass!

What did I do wrong?

Help!

Dave

Might you have put the PCV and coolant lines together and left one end of the coolant (supply side) attched to the TB? I have not looked to see if there is even a PCV attched there, but it sounds like that could have happened.

I'll have to double check, but I only saw 2 lines running to the throttle body. One ran from the radiator to the bottom/front of the TB, the other ran from under the fuel rail cover to the top/rear of the TB. Other than these two water lines, the only thing I saw was the wiring plug. I connected both of these lines with the TB bypass tube and started the engine. Next thing I knew, coolant was SPRAYING all over the front of the motor from the TB.

Thanks,

Dave
