Default how do i raise my 2000 vette

I would love to lower my just bought 2000 vette, but i need to find a way to raise it. i am having problem getting it in and out of my garage, i have try to angle it in and out but it still hitting right under the driver seat, i think if i had maybe an 1/2" to 1" more of height i could make it.
any ideas.
sorry for any mistake this is my first post and i need some help.

Tear the garage down and build it so you can get in.

The proper procedure for checking and adjusting the trim (ride) height along with Trim Height Specifications/Tolerances can be found in the Suspension section in the GM Service Manual. These are the only published manufacturer's trim height specifications of which I'm aware.

The manufacturer's Trim Height Specifications differ for each of the C5 suspensions; i.e., FE1, FE3 (Z51), F45, etc. The car needs to be on a level surface such as an alignment rack with both doors and the hood closed and the trunk/hatch rear area empty, etc., etc., etc. Both the front and rear trim height are then measured from the lowest point of the ball joint to the center of the front side of the lower control arm mounting bolt using a GM J-Tool 42854.

I don’t have access to a model year 2000 GM Service manual. However, if you want to do this yourself, post your suspension type. Then perhaps someone here with the 2000 Service Manual can provide you with the proper procedure and correct specifications/tolerances specific to your model year.

On the other hand, if you're not concerned with the factory specs, perhaps someone whose car is stock height with the same suspension as yours can provide you with some measurements. But again, anything they provide will not be to factory specs.

Too, you will want to have the car realigned once you have reset the trim height.

The folks over in the Southwest section of the Forum may be of more help to you here.

Good luck!

Mine used to scrape pulling in at stock ride height. Then i started backing in and had no problems. Since then i have lowered it a good inch and still have no issues as long as i back it in.

want to thank everyone for all the help, it seem that my car, how my wife car is at the spec. height and cant be raise by turning the bolt. my house has a incline on the driveway that just make it impossible for me to get in or out, whether i drive in stright or try to back it in, or even if i go in at an angle. love the car and love the house. i guess i will have to live with my wife havlng to put in and take out the car, she can get it in by going in at a angle very slow and careful. because i weight about 120 pound more than her, the cat just seen to scrap the bottom, i will try to put on rail, but i think i am sill about one inch to low to make it.
anyway thanks for everyone help and answers,
roger
