What can I expect with these mods?

What can I expect with these mods?

Looking at putting in:

1. Dynamaxx header kit (has high-flow cats & x-pipe)
2. Magnaflow catback (Tru-X)
3. Blackwing intake
4. G5X3 cam

Realistically, on a stock 97 coupe, what gains will I be looking at?

And would it be recommended to have a tune done after these mods are put in?

You will definitely need a tune. You'll probably end up with about 385rwhp. Just my opinion.

Tune yes definately. And if it's a 6-spd car i think you'll be knocking on on the door of 390rwhp. Little less if it's an auto.

So what else could I add that might push it over 400rwhp? It is 6 speed btw.

I also have the z06 clutch if that makes a difference.

A decent Heads/Cam package will easily get you over 400rwhp (and you'll feel like you're driving a rocket).

you've already got the cam, why not a set of heads ? See my sig for spec over 400rwhp.

You could probably get another 15-20hp with an ls6 intake and an undrive pulley. You will need to upgrade your valvetrain with that cam so you might as well get a set of heads. You can find some pretty decent heads for pretty cheap now a days.
