I do not have direct answer to your question :D but the Orbital batteries sold at NAPA and Exide at Pep are the same thing, but cheaper. Exide sold licensing the rights and then saw how much money Optima was making, so started making themselves. FWIW
The BCI Group for both are 34/78.The AGM-800-DT is the Red-Top and AGM-D750-DT is the marine deep cycle battery. Both batteries discharge at the same rate. The yellow top has 750CCA @ O, and the red top has 800CCA @ o.The yellow has 900 @ 32 degrees-F, Red-Top has 1000 @ 32.
The red-top has a 36 month free replacement And the Yellow has only a 12 month free replacement. Then prorate takes over.I would go with the Red unless you are going to let your car set for a year.
Get the Optima Red-Top Battery (OPT-800U). You do not need the deep cycle yellow top. Also, call Optima, wade through the recordings, and order the Optima Group 34/78 Hold-Down Puck and Cover. This puck fits the round center cell of the battery better than the straight GM puck, and the red cover looks nice.
I got the model number and part number that I posted from the battery label. I guess it's an older one, though. I bought it for my '00 about a year ago. :p:
