I know that most X-Pipe manufacturers say you can simply clamp the X-pipe to the pipes where you cut the factory H-pipe out. Is this what you did, or did you weld it? Pros/cons?
I'm asking because I'm having a Bassani X-pipe installed soon and I wanted to get a feel for the way most installers are installing these.

I installed the corsa Indys and I used the corsa X pipe I just cut the one side to fit and bolted the rest on all the way to the rear :smash: Tightened them up a few times as they worked their way through 2000 miles of hard driving. :D Never had a problem :seeya

if you dont weld purchase some sort of exhaust leak fix or header wrap and then use the clamps that came with your x-pipe.i know i had problems with a offroad x-pipe and had to remove the clamps and install the leak fix.had corsa indys installed friday and the mechanic noticed the leaks,i already noticed the leaks and was waiting on the corsa install to follow up.mechanic would not touch the leaks ,because the leaks were where the cats use to be.
