GM replacment seat cover

for sport seat. The side bolster appears to be vinyl and NOT leather. Is this the norm? Sure won't look right!

I think that's been the standard for almost 25 years of Vette leather seats. As far as I'm concerned, I wish they would offer something other than leather-it feels bad, wears poorly and has no upside as far as I can tell. The vinyl seats in my 69' held up better than any leather seats I've had in other Vettes or any othe GM I've ever owned.

97/8 were all leather on the front sides
99 and later GM used vinyl on the bolsters

yes, vinyl on the bolster for replacements is the norm

00 and later vinyl on the bolster to help control of the apparent wear issues with sliding in using the boster.

My 99 came with leather...The recall didnt take effect until mid 00, all 00 had vinyl.

My 99 sure looks like leather ,and is beat to **** . I have an aug . build date too so I dont know whats up with yours steve.

Yes its normal and it doesn't look bad at all and it doesn't crack like the leather bolsters of the C4 did...BTW...the leather bolsters wouldn't have cracked if the driver and passengers entered correctly and not slid across the bolster...there IS a correct way to enter a Corvette instead of just slamming ones fatazz down into the seat
