Default Will I pass emissions?

I am in Colorado, so not as tough as Cali.. but I am modded and have not been tuned yet.

My plate expired (out of state) so I have to pass the emissions testing before getting a new CO tag.

Mods are:

2001 Z06-

224/224. 581/581 114lsa Cam
Kooks LT Headers with HF Cats
Blackwing
Stock TI exhaust

Again, I am not tuned. Do I need to be before emission testing?

THANKS!!!

I'd recomend a LS1 tune/edit before emissions test to correct likley needed fuel/air adjsutments.

Depends on the Colorado test, if its just plug and play and you're not throwing any codes and your O2's are all reading right....you should be fine.

CT doesn't sniff unless your readiness tests aren't complete (battery or fuses were recently pulled or error codes were erased). I tuned out my rear o2s (even with OEM cats) and it passed with flying colors...

With your mods you definitely need a tune to get your tailpipe emissions in order even with cats....so if they sniff, you're likely to fail.

Just my $.02

I passed NY inspection and sniffer with all the bolt ons and no tune

the following year I passed NY sniffer adding the TR224 and a tune

The last two years I passed Virginia sniff with the same set up. Now VA just has ODBII so im going with a larger cam

Now I'm off to squeeze every last hp this thing at the tuner!

Thanks guys
