This isn't Corvette related, but close enough. I have a good friend with a 05 GTO and he just recently purchased a set of Kooks Headers for it. Immediately took them to the local powdercoating shop in Burlington NJ (the shop that does all of O.C.C.'s work). Picked up headers yesterday and this morning when I stopped by to pick him up (we carpool, hour each way to/from work)......he motions for me to look at something. Hop out and....
On the #3 primary tube, there's a hole about 1/8-1/4 inch around. The jet-hot coating was piled up at one side of the hole.
So, the question becomes did A: the shop manage to impace the header with something hard enough to punch a hole or B: the header more probably come with the hole already there from Kooks??? Reason I'm asking here is because that's just really puzzling to me.

I'm thinking that maybe there was a fitting or small pipe originally welded there for the A.I.R. system. I'm not familiar with the GTO exhaust set-up and don't know if the headers for them use the same type fittings on each side as do the C5 headers. If in doubt, call Kooks or check with some GTO guys. If there is supposed to be a fitting there, maybe the coating shop accidently broke it off. HTH
