I took out my driver seat to fix the problem with it sliding forward when I hit the brakes. Fixed the sliding (slack) problem. Put it back together and hooked up the power, now the power seat moves forward when you push the seat adjuster button backwards. What really sucks is when I turn the car off the automatic easy exit function on the seat pushes my knees into the dash. ouch. I unhooked the battery and recheck the seat connector and everything looks ok. Any ideas what might be wrong.
Thanks
vince
Are you positive you didn't reverse any connections when you plugged the wiring back together? That's the only way I can think of that you could have the seat working in reverse. I'm not even sure if it's possible to reverse any plugs, but that's what I would check. If you can't get that fixed at least you can go into your DIC options and turn off the seat exit function.
Did you figure out why your seat functioned backwards? I just performed the rockin seat repair and I am having the same issues--the seat moves back when you tell it to go forward and vice versa!
I pulled the seat back out twice and determined that the car is smarter than I am!
I haven't been able to find any other threads talking about this--got any search tips?
I'll try pulling the seat out again and swapping the screws, but it seemed like they both turn the same direction...could it be that I confused the computer controller in the seat?
