My 2004 Z06 threw a couple of codes again. It threw the sames codes last December. I wonder if this is something I need to worry about. The codes were P0171H and P0174H. I know they are both history codes so I deleted them in the DIC. The codes are "fuel trim system lean" bank 1 and bank 2. The car is stock except for a Black Wing intake. Anybody have a similar experience or advice?
Sometimes when a Blackwing is installed, an air gap of sorts occurs between the MAF and the air bridge. Also, the coupler between the airbridge and throtle body sometimes will have a bit of a gap. This lets in unmetered air that can cause this condition.
Since the code is history and apparently even when it was current it didn't light the MIL then the problem may be a clamp that could need to be tightened a bit. I would recheck to be sure everything is aligned and sealing properly and make sure the clamps are tight.
