this is my first spak plug change on my 01 corvette convertable
and im not too sure of what spark plugs i should go with i went to a local auto store here in toronto and got my self a pair of NGK iridiumIX (tr55IX) and not too sure if these are the best.
the mods that i have done to the car is borla exhaust and CAI and with in the next month headers and x pipe
i also bring it to the track one or twice a summer as well.

You have a near stock engine. I would use the GM 41-985. They should be pre-gap at .40. If they are not, do not re-gap, but have them replaced. No anti-seize is required since they are coated. I drop of Mobil 1 on the thread will make it. Removing the spark plug wire is not easy. I disconnect from the coil then I turn the rubber boot at the sparkplug end and the wire comes out. Torque the plugs at 11lbs. I remove the air pipe to make some room. Cylinder #1 & #7 are the more difficult.
Tuner can use other plugs because they can tailor ignition timing to their specs, as well as the cam, flow of cylinder heads, tumble within the combustion chamber and the like. But for a stock engine, go wit the 41.985 since the PCM is set up to work best with these.
