I've had my '98 for about a month now and have put on just over 1k miles. I seem to averaging about 18.7-18.9 mpg per tank. I've reset the DIC after each fillup and the average is always in the high 18 range. Most of my driving is around town stop-and-go stuff. Does this sound right?
Yes. I get 18-20 around town...

I drove from Newark, NJ to Plano, Tx this weekend. I averaged 30.7MPG for over 1600 miles and it took a little over 3 full tanks.

Guys, it's simple. The reason the vette gets better MPG at higher speeds than other cars is the low drag Co. Think about it. The VW for example has to push much more air out of the way at 70mph than does the vette. The faster you go, the more the difference widens. At 90mph the vette is more fuel efficient than most any car.

I took a 2,200 mile trip. The DIC showed 29.5 mpg. The actual mpg was 27.5. That is still not bad for a car of this type. My Cadillac ETC display is also off by almost the same amount. :chevy
