Default Tire Sensor FIX - Dealer can't get it right!!!!!!!!!!!

My car has been to the dealer 3 times in the last month for the RF tire sensor, they have replaced the sensor twice now and I continue to get error messages on my DIC. The messages are as follows.

'Serv. Tire Mont System'

On the pressure gauge on the DIC it reads RF- Rxxx

Can anyone help with a solution? they claim they have checked the ground points...I just would like this to be 100% operational.

Did you try resetting the sensors yourself? The process is documented on the tech tips page, and all you need is a magnet (from radioshack).

I actually reset 2 sensors that a dealership diagnosed as bad. :mad

Sounds like a bad sensor. Did it read properly after they put in the new sensor?

And what grounds did they check? The sensors are in the wheels and aren't grounded. And if they are talking about the RFA receiver, then I would expect that you wouldn't get any sensor readings and the fobs wouldn't work.

Did you get the 4 horn beeps, 1 per tire?

If so, I would suspect you need to replace a tire sensor.

Just a thought

Did they really replace the sensor? The reason I ask, I had a similar problem, the dealer said they replaced the sensor, after getting the same RF-XXX message, I talked to the service manager who said, they try to do a relearn, and generally don't even mess with the tire sensors, they reset the DIC and give back the car. If a tire was replaced they don't do anything but reset the DIC.

I got a magnet and did the relearn, all fixed
