Default o2 sensor code: Please help.

Well i just put SLP headers on my 99 Hardtop and im having some o2 sensor codes all of a sudden. The code is saying bank 1 and 2 o2 sensor no activity. Sorry i do not have the code number. Before i take it somewhere i figured id ask. Do the headers cause the o2 sensors to burn out? The car runs fine and is much improved with the headers.

Your going to need those O2's when you go for a tune-which you'll need to do to get all the ponies out of those LT's- I had similar problem when I installed my DynaMaxx LT's You can leave the rear O2's disconnected but the fronts need to be there- I think you may have a bad connection or broken wire- and make sure you hook up front left to front left and right to right the rears are reversed Good

You can put sims in the rear O2's but better fix is to have tuner turn them off- I don't know what my starting numbers were but with a Ported TB , LS6 intake, and blackwing I'm making 342 rwhp and 355 torque--

Headers do not cause 02 sensors to burn out. What code[s] did you get?

PV, those are good numbers. I was actually thinking of doing a Z06 intake. were you able to port the TB yourself? Thanks for the help. Did you put the intake on yourself or did you pay? If so what did u pay for the install? Thanks again.
