Default LS7 clutch, adjustable master or not??

For the guys who have gone to an LS7(Z06) clutch, did you use an adjustable master cylinder?

I upgraded the to the C5 Z06 slave during my install. I did not shim the slave or upgrade the master to adjustable. Whether my setup is optimized or not is a good question. Its definitely holding the power and seems to be almost like stock, maybe a little more force required at the pedal.

Hope this helps....its at least one data point.

I've done a number of LS7 clutches. No shims, LS7 slave, stock MC, no problems. Bleed it good and it works fine.

I went with the Cartek adjustable master after trying it with the stock one. It raised the engagement to where I like it. Personal preference thing.

But you knew that didn't you.

Phil's done all the major work on my car and done it well.
