I have a double groove imbedded on the inside of my drivers side mag wheel. The groove is 2 inches from the outside edge of the mag. At first I though a pebble was dragged between the caliper and mag. I rotated the wheel around and did not see any obstacles. A few days later the groove became more noticeable.
Could the back of the caliper be causing this damage? At times when I brake I do notice a slight pull. Is my only recourse to bring it in to a dealer for analysis? This is a y2k with only 8,000 miles on it. Will there be any dealer charge to me if they decide it was a foreign object. Thanks for any advice you can provide on this.
