How do those polished stainless brake pad covers attach? 2 way tape? Silicone? Or do they just sandwich in? Seems like a guy could make a set for far less than $80.... Just thinkin and thanks in advance! - Al

You can use anti-squeal goo they sell at any auto parts store. Just put some between the back of the pad and the metal piece. I noticed the backing piece will shift a little after use, so you might want to wait for it to be completely set up(dried) before using the car.
And yes, $80 is a lot for 4 little pieces of stamped out metal. Some sell for a lot more, I have no idea why.
I agree $80 for SS is not worth it. I've actually got a set of triple-plated chrome for sale for $80 plus shipping if anybody needs. They actually are wedged in by pressure but some light spray adhesive makes the install easy.
