I installed a CORSA pace car cat back and was not happy with the burble at idle and poping on deceleration and shifting. I have now installed a CORSA X pipe and the burble at idle is gone, but the poping is still there.
Can this be corrected by a tune? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Mine does the same thing. Many member say that it will pop less but it will still pop. Dont think there is anything you can do. I have wondered if the "off road" x pipes that I see would be a little better. They look like a true x pipe compared to may corsa x pipe that looks like c pipes welded together with small hole between them.

The car still pops with an off road x-pipe I just installed one so save
your money for a tune
Thanks for the replies. I think I will try a tune and see if that helps.
I have TPIS long tubes, Random Tech cats, true x pipe and B&B Bullitts, plus a full dyno tune. Mine sounds wicked at idle. I do have gurgle and only occasional pop on deceleration, but only at low rpms. Anything above 3k and it is smooth as silk. This was even true when I had my TIs on, just not as noticeable due to db level but still there. I'll try to get a video/sound bite and post for you to hear later today.

I have the same setup with Borla Stingers. Are you almost deaf too?

You've hit it on the head. The Bassani, Magnaflow, and some others are true X-pipes. I run a Magnaflow and there is virtually no popping or gurgling.

The Corsa x-pipe is a waste of time because the hole is too small. All other x-pipes that I know of truly balance/blend the exhaust so that there is no popping.

Uh, did you say something
Not yet, but give me time!!!!!!
Actually, cruisin' at 75 - 80 it is just a sweet grumble, but accelerating........... jeez!! it is opened up now, and I LOVE it!!
Puttin' in my new Spec II+ clutch and flywheel this week, along with my DTE diff strut, new master and slave cylinder w/ remote bleeder valve from The LAPD, then next month we get to do the heads and cam the retune the beast, aka, NCNR8R, as my new tag says!!
I have the MagnaFlo X pipe with Corsa and have very little pop. I think the trick is in the X pipe. It won't totally go away but the quality/design of X pipe helps.
Back in the day I used to have GHL's with a Magnaflow x-pipe. Before adding the x-pipe it popped like crazy. When I added the x-pipe it reduced the popping somewhat, maybe 30% or so. Now with the Kooks setup (cats, x-pipe etc) they still pop quite a bit. I have noticed having removed it many times that any leak (at the flanges etc) seems to aggravate the popping.

I have the LG Street setup with no cats and Stingers and BOY that thing really SCREAMS at WOT! Around town and low rpms are louder than normal but won't get you arrested....but above 3000rpm...WHOA BOY. I passed a friend in his C5 who has no cats, stock manifolds and corsa's and he said that my note was earsplitting.

I have the Indy's with corsa x-pipe and I have some popping but it is not enough to bother me or anything and my passenger's get a kick out of it when they pop.

Well, just got the new clutch in and still breaking it in. Have put 300 miles on it so far and Spec says 500 mile minimum to get it seated properly, etc.
Here's a little clip I did tonight just so you could hear what it sounds like. Not very clear 'cause it IS night but you'll get the idea anyway. Not a heavy launch or wound real tight because of the new clutch. Man am I itchin' to really see how it hooks up now.

go back to stock exhaust and you won't hear anything.
