I was drying my car after washing it. The hood was up when I noticed a plug or sensor that was unplugged. You could see it with the hood up and it was right between the front fascia and the front of the hood. Kinda next to the passenger headlight. I didn't plug it back, cuz it was a little wet. What is this plug for? Everything seems to still work fine.
Actually, I noticed this one too while doing my supercharger piping.
There is a plug coming from the same harness as the hood light, right next to it infact. It doesnt seem to have anything to plug into though. Perhaps it is for some optional equipment that our cars dont have ?
from what I recall from when I had the bumper cover off was two individual plugs in that area. One to the underhood lamp and the other to the ambient temp sensor which sits on the rad shroud front right lower corner. Since the plug is easily visable I'd venture a guess on the hood lamp. the lamp plug can sometimes slip between the hoodliner and hood when its unplugged.

A picture would certainly help.
It was the light. I shoulda just plugged it in before asking. Thanks, though.
i keep mine unplugged as well living in florida the car can get extremely hot and i like to put the hood up in the garage after driving it. The light will go out automatically in what i understand to be about 2 minutes if you decide to plug it back in.
