Engine chirp when first started

I love my 01, but have started hearing a chirp for a minute or so at idle when I first start it. I read many previous posts and took off both accessory belts. No change! The noise almost sounds like it is coming from the RH upper part of the engine. Valve train! I hope not. Any thoughts?

You don't have to change the tensioner(G.M. sells as a unit-tensioner/idler).Just go to PARTSOURCE and buy the idler for around $20.00.Hope this helps.JER

I seam to be having a similar problem. More distinct chirp or under part throttle in 1st or 2nd gear. Less so at idle when revving the motor in neutral.
What is Partsource (local auto parts store)? Tom
