Default What should I add to increase performance for a C5?

I own a 1998 convertible with a 6-speed. Stock, the car had 345HP (per the MFG info) at the flywheel. I have added:
- magnum flow mufflers (cat back)
- Hypertech programmer
- Halltech Stinger Air Intake
- 160 degree low temp thermostat
I had the car dynoed and according to the test report, she came in at 327HP at the rear wheels (I believe this translates into 384HP @ the flywheel).
I am looking to increase my performance and HP. I was told Headers and an X-pipe is one way and a supercharger or turbocharger is another way. I am not looking to spend the kind of money needed to install a super or turbocharger.

Here are my questions:
- Are adding headers and an X-pipe the way to go to get the most HP for the $?
- On average, how much HP will I gain?
- Will the car be able to handle the increase in HP and torque without putting too much strain on the engine, transmission or rear end?
- Is there any downside to adding headers?
- Any other suggestions on how to increase my performance.

My overall goal is to lower my 0-60 speeds (currently estimated @ 4.2-4.5 sec) and increase my flywheel HP to above 400. I want to feel the rush as I step on the gas pedal from a stop. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Long tube headers, high flow cats (or no cats depends on the law) wit x pipe plus a dyno tune will giveyou a good increase in HP.
But I would also consider a cam swap it will significantly increase power (+ heads if you can afford them)
-American racing headers with HF cats and x pipe= $1550
- Dyno tune: $350-500
-cam: $400
-Heads: ~$2000

Add labor unless you're doing it yourself. This could give you a 430+ RWHP Vette with the right head and cam combination.

Or you can go the supercharger route: 450-500 RWHP eas with any kit: A&A new Vortech kit for 5500 dolls brand new and complete or a used kit can be had for 3500, 4000 dollars.
Turbo is also to consider: complete kit 5700 dollars from FFHP

Good luck
