Default Gaskets

Just did a cam install and everyone including my tuner think i didn't line up the dots correctly.. and this might be... It was really hard to see the dots with the oil pump on... so i will be reinstalling...

the car has maybe 30 miles on it since the install. can i reuse my waterpump and timing covergasket... I question the waterpump... but after seeing my old timing cover gasket i have a hard time believing i need a new one.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure you will be alright with the timing cover gasket, but, I know MY luck, and if I didn't put a new one on, it will start to leak. Moral of the story for me is, why take a chance with all the work required?

I heard of people reusing those gaskets and even the oil pump o-ring with no problems but as Arkay99 says, why leave it to luck considering the amount of work to go back in and redo it?

Be sure to inspect the oil pump o-ring for damage or just go ahead and replace that too

is this on the crank side of the oil pump or the timing cover?

or are you referring to the pick up tube?

Oil pump o-ring is in the fitting where the pickup tube bolts to the oil pump. Bottom left front of oil pump. You are running 29lbs. hot idle. If you want to bump it a bit, you can remove the bypass spring and shim it with about .100" to .120" of washer and bump your pressure ~7-10lbs. at hot idle.
